Carriage bolts, also known as round head square neck bolts. Carriage bolts are divided into large round head carriage bolts and small round head carriage bolts according to their head size. A carriage bolt is a type of fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylindrical body with external threads), which needs to be matched with a nut and used to tighten and connect two parts with through holes.
Hot dip galvanizing: Hot dip galvanizing is the process of reacting molten metal with an iron substrate to form an alloy layer, thereby combining the substrate and coating. Hot dip galvanizing is the process of first pickling steel parts to remove iron oxide from the surface. After pickling, it is cleaned in a solution of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride, or a mixture of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, and then sent to the hot-dip galvanizing tank. Hot dip galvanizing has advantages such as uniform coating, strong adhesion, and long service life.
There are many types of hot-dip galvanized carriage bolts, which are generally selected according to the usage environment. The commonly used materials are as follows:
1. Carbon steel: generally used in general machinery and equipment, with low strength but cheap price and easy processing.
2. Alloy steel: With higher strength than carbon steel, it is suitable for places that can withstand larger loads, such as large machinery and steel structures.
3. Stainless steel: suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure environments, such as chemical, petroleum, natural gas and other industries, but its price is relatively high.
4. Brass: It is a commonly used material with good conductivity, suitable for special occasions such as electric towers.
Carriage bolts are a traditional fastener mainly used to connect two parts with through-holes, playing a tightening role. It consists of a head and a screw, which need to be used in conjunction with a nut. The head of carriage bolts is usually circular, without cross grooves or internal hexagons designed for easy force application, so it can play a certain anti-theft role in the connection process. In addition, the head of the carriage bolt is round with a square neck, which can be stuck in the groove to prevent the bolt from rotating and can move parallel in the groove.
